I like this size better. 1" finished. Still wonky but I'm practicing. I have lots of 1 1/2 strips that I bought from Shannon. Like a mini honey bun. Thanks for all the imput everybody:)
Honest, Jennifer, I kinda love the drunken blocks! And, for those of us with MS, where the world is always moving below our feet, they look like they match our world just fine. LOL.
I found it necessary to square up after each round. They get a bit 'wonky' after each 4 log additions. Makes a great - not so wonky - block in the end. Looking good!!!
But with each one they are getting better - as Connie said, when you get to the 'round' that is square - square up with your ruler - those little bits of 'not quite a 1/4"' will add up round to round. AND wonky blocks are popular right now!
I like the idea of a drunken log cabin! I do the square up after each round and it really helps to keep everything square. You're really embracing your new sewing machine, good on you! Bet you're wondering why you waited so long to get one now!
